The Kingfisher offers the most accurate and acclaimed liquidations maps in the crypto industry. Navigate the Market with Precision: Trust the Original Liquidation Map Algorithm.

You can either use the Kingfisher's maps in your daily trading activities or use our innovative KF-OEMS for a partially automated, and optimized trading workflow.

As traders, we understand that when your money’s on the line, you need an edge. Kingfisher gives you the edge with liquidations maps. We help you find profitable trades that match your risk profile. Using the Kingfisher maps, a trader can accurately place his entry, exit, and stop-loss by identifying areas of support and resistance.

### What are liquidations?

The Kingfisher’s unique Liquidation Maps help visualize where the hidden “liquidation liquidity” is. When a trader opens a leveraged position, it will come with a liquidation price that will trigger an automated market order to close the position when hit. Or gradually deleverage when coming close to this price.

The Kingfisher maps those liquidation prices across the whole market, giving a global vision of where some of the hidden liquidity is.

<figure><img src="/files/pJXNeeJuBIacR6PjYICd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The rational why price move faster into liquidation clusters, is simple people get their positions closed and market rally, arbitrage bot create demand on spot and exchange matching engine see valid mark price for liquidation. One leading to another one, people get their margin taken away and force close their positions. In our case leading to more buys eating the ask side. The green are the liquidation cluster and you see how fast price move through it.

**Background**

Traders on unregulated exotic derivatives exchanges expose themselves to additional risk. The Liquidation risk.

When a trader’s position’s liquidation price hit, his entire position will be routed through the exchange's risk engine to cover the trader’s loss.

When only a few positions worth a few bitcoins are concerned, the market impact is negligible. If hundreds of such positions have liquidation prices close to each other, the closing orders compound, and the market impact can be massive. Furthermore, a liquidation can trigger another one by pulling the price just enough and might trigger “mass chain liquidations” across several hundreds of dollars.

**Enter The Kingfisher**

The Kingfisher is the only service showing you areas where a high density of liquidations will take place.

Those are price zones of high liquidity, fast price action, and general confusion for those not expecting them.

By using the Kingfisher’s liquidation maps, you can

* Breakout trade
* Profitably scalp
* Accurately place your stop-loss and save yourself from a stop hunt
* Take-profit in areas of high liquidity
* Optimise significant size execution finding liquidity and avoiding unnecessary slippage.
* Detect when volatility events like sudden pump/dump will start and fade.

# KF - Liquidations Maps

The Kingfisher's unique liquidations maps help you forecast the market's liquidations like never before

*Available to Pro and Premium subscribers as well as weekly trials*

The Kingfisher’s unique Liquidation Maps help you visualize where the hidden “liquidation liquidity” is. When a trader opens a leveraged position, it will come with a liquidation price which, once hit, will trigger an automated market order to close the position. Or gradually deleverage when coming close to this price.

![](/files/-Mfm0pd6_iMvOrj9Z-HQ)

The Kingfisher aggregates those liquidation prices across the whole market, giving a global vision of where some of the hidden liquidity and pain points are.

Using **one credit** allows you to pull **one simple** liquidation map for any instrument, any time in the past\
Using a **Subscription** or **Trading Session** allows you to pull an **unlimited number** of liquidation maps **with cumulative liquidations**, for any instrument, at any time in the past.&#x20;

### What do the different configurations mean

\* **all\_leverage** (Scalp & Swing): Mixes low and high leverages, ranging from 2x to 95x. Suitable for a combination of short-term (scalp) and longer-term (swing) trading strategies.

\* **high\_leverage** (Scalp): Focuses on high leverages, primarily between 90x and 125x. Designed for aggressive, short-term breakout trading.

\* **less\_high\_Levers** (Scalp/Swing): Offers a range of medium to high leverages, mostly from 25x to 125x. Aims to capture both scalp and swing trades, potentially around support and resistance levels.

\* **low\_leverage** (Swing): Uses low leverages, mainly from 2x to 10x. Best suited for longer-term swing trading with a focus on minimizing risk.

\* **optical\_opti** (Long term High leverage - Swing): Combines some high leverages (up to 95x) with longer timeframes. Likely meant for swing trades with a higher risk tolerance.

\* **medium\_Levers**: Employs a broader range of leverages, from 2x to 95x. A more balanced approach that can be adapted to various trading styles.

\* Scalp vs. Swing: The configurations are often categorized based on their suitability for scalping (short-term) or swing (longer-term) trading.

\* Leverage Range: Each configuration has a distinct leverage range, reflecting its intended risk profile and trading style.

**Multi Exchanges (Pro memberships)**

<figure><img src="/files/u0CqBmvsbeYhNRwIisb8" alt=""><figcaption><p>Bitcoin 31 Jan 2023</p></figcaption></figure>

**Standard and Premium subscriptions** also give access to another exchange type called **multi.**

This choice will enable the collection of all the main market data of the derivatives platform for this instrument.

This configuration is heavy to load and can take up to 5 min to load a single map. The behavior is that the server will send the request and build it, a couple of minutes later after being created it can be served to your web browser client and you'll have to retry later if it's not available. This is the estimated time required to generate Multi map depending on the definition.

* All leverage 20s - 3min
* High leverage 20s - 3min
* Less High Leverage 2min- 5min
* Low leverage 4min - 5min
* Medium leverage 30s - 3min

Once a map has been generated, it will automatically align with the corresponding pricing information on the candle chart. Note that this will only work if the map pulled is of the same instrument as the one charted.

# Trade exemple

We are going to explore one trade

#### For this analysis we are going to use this situation&#x20;

<https://twitter.com/kingfisher_btc/status/1728383239872458772>

#### CT discuss a news and attract some traders about UBS panic, logic reasoning want you to think US market liquidity will dry out and that the market will price equities lower and that the crypto market correlation will make bitcoin go down with it.

However the liquidation map give us a different picture&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/mdxUO2lp7MwxrV2AHECE" alt=""><figcaption><p>Bitcoin high leverage map 24/11/2023</p></figcaption></figure>

We just visualize to identify potential entry and exit points, and then propose a stop loss. I will also estimate the potential profit and loss (PnL) for this trade.

#### Analysis of the Data for Trade Idea

1. **Identifying Potential Entry Point**:
   * Look for a price level where the liquidation estimations are relatively low, indicating a potentially stable zone.
   * A lower liquidation point might suggest less volatility and fewer forced liquidations, which could provide a more secure entry point.
2. **Identifying Potential Exit Point**:
   * The exit point should be at a price level where the liquidation estimations start to increase, indicating a potential zone of higher risk or volatility.
   * This could also be a point where you would realize a reasonable profit based on the trade setup.
3. **Setting a Stop Loss**:
   * The stop loss should be set at a level where the liquidation estimations are higher than the entry point, indicating an increased risk of price moving unfavorably.
4. **Estimating PnL**:
   * The potential profit or loss will be estimated based on the difference between the entry and exit points, factoring in the size of the trade.

#### Hypothetical Trade Setup

* **Entry Price**: Assuming a stable entry point is identified.
* **Exit Price**: Based on a reasonable profit expectation before reaching a higher liquidation zone.
* **Stop Loss**: Set at a level to limit potential losses.
* **Estimated PnL**: Calculated based on the difference between entry and exit prices.

I'll now proceed to define these values based on the data. Keep in mind, the actual numbers will be hypothetical and should be verified with current market conditions and your risk tolerance.

Based on the analysis of the provided data, here is a hypothetical trade setup:

1. **Entry Price**: $37,781.29
   * This price is chosen based on the average of prices where the liquidation estimations are in the lower quartile, indicating a potentially more stable zone.
2. **Exit Price**: $37,861.32
   * This exit price is the average of prices where the liquidation estimations are higher than the entry zone but not in the highest quartile, suggesting a zone where you might start encountering increased risk.
3. **Stop Loss**: $37,653.37
   * The stop loss is set at a level halfway between the entry price and the minimum price in the entry zone. This is to protect the trade against adverse movements while considering market volatility.
4. **Estimated Profit and Loss (PnL)**: $80.03
   * This is the difference between the entry and exit prices. It represents the potential profit if the price moves favorably from the entry to the exit point.

#### Rationale for the Trade:

* The entry point is selected in a lower liquidation estimation area, which could mean lower volatility and risk at that price level.
* The exit point is chosen before reaching the high liquidation estimation area, balancing profit taking with risk management.
* The stop loss is strategically placed to limit potential losses while allowing for some market movement.

# KF - Liquidations Heatmap

Unveiling Market Dynamics: A Glimpse into the Normalized Liquidation Map

*Available to Pro and Premium subscribers as well as weekly trials*

## **What is a Liquidation Event?**

* **Definition:** A liquidation event occurs when a trader's position is forcibly closed due to market movements that deplete their margin account below the required level to maintain open positions.
* **Strategic Advantage:** Anticipating other traders' liquidation levels can provide insights similar to understanding high liquidity zones in the order book.

## **Kingfisher's Approach to Forecasting Liquidations:**

* **Purpose:** Kingfisher aims to predict significant liquidation events to assist traders in their decision-making process.
* **Methodology:**
  * **Data Computation:** Utilizes market data and various leverage amounts to compute liquidation levels.
  * **Data Aggregation:** Kingfisher aggregates and normalizes data over time to enhance accuracy and relevance.
  * **Visualization:** The computed levels are plotted on a chart for easy interpretation.

## **Liquidation Heatmap Features:**

* **Color Indicators:** The heatmap changes colors at points where estimated liquidation levels cluster, indicating potential market pressure points.
* **Gradient Scale:** A gradient scale, representing the Z-score, is used to visually depict the concentration of liquidation levels at specific price points.

By providing a visual representation of where significant liquidation events are likely to occur, the Kingfisher Liquidation Heatmap serves as a valuable tool for traders. It enables them to identify potential market shifts and adjust their strategies accordingly, enhancing their ability to navigate the complexities of trading with leveraged positions.

<figure><img src="/files/iZNCZ6w1598Ct0D4Jn55" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Z-score is a statistical measurement that describes a value's relationship to the mean (average) of a group of values. It's measured in terms of standard deviations from the mean. If a Z-score is 0, it indicates that the data point's score is identical to the mean score.

In the context of a heatmap using a gradient to display the Z-score of your data, high Z-scores (typically displayed by warmer colors such as red or purple) suggest extreme data points. These are values that are significantly different from the mean.

These higher Z-scores also show major players' signatures, representing scenarios where either someone has insider information or a situation that carries higher risk (for example, a scenario where many traders might "blow up" or incur significant losses at a certain price).&#x20;

This is because these situations would tend to deviate from the normal behavior, and thus have high Z-scores.

Low Z-scores, conversely, (displayed by cooler colors like blue, green, or transparent on the heatmap) suggest that these data points are closer to the mean. They are less extreme and less deviant than the average behavior. In the trading context, a low Z-score might indicate areas where the price tends to be more stable and less volatile. These might be the intervals where the price tends to stop when it is lower.

Remember, the interpretation of the Z-score is context-dependent and is related to the specifics of the market condition.&#x20;

In the context of trading, Z-scores could be used as indicators of volatility forecast, risk, or potential profit/loss scenarios for example.

<figure><img src="/files/7seXSv3yZYvEbZP5mX3f" alt=""><figcaption><p>Select map type</p></figcaption></figure>

**Optical Opti** will zoom in and show **Short-Term High Leverages** liquidations, giving an interesting short-term view of the price action.

# KF - GEX+

The Kingfisher offers a unique view into Dealer Delta Map in the Bitcoin market.

The **GEX+** tool is available to **subscribed** users, or users using a **Trading Session**

GEX measures the impact of market maker hedging activity on the derivative market, positive GEX readings indicate suppressed volatility, while negative readings exacerbate volatility. This metric can be used to anticipate changes in trading ranges and potential market reversals.

GEX often aligns with options expiration cycles and can be used to track changes in volatility or market direction. He emphasizes that while GEX is not a directional call, it can be used to predict potential market shifts and guide trading decisions.

![](/files/-Mfm0UsHTs13v7yal0IC)

To use GEX+ effectively in your trading, follow these steps:

1. Understand the concept of gamma exposure: [Familiarize yourself](https://the-kingfisher.medium.com/kf-gex-gamma-vanna-exposure-and-iv-e919bbfdeb95) with options trading and the concept of delta and gamma in the context of options. Delta measures the change in the option's price relative to the change in the underlying asset's price, while gamma measures the rate of change of delta.
2. Monitor GEX+ readings: Positive GEX+ readings indicate that market makers are hedging their positions in a way that suppresses volatility by buying into dips and selling into rallies. In contrast, negative GEX+ readings suggest that hedging activity will exacerbate volatility by selling into dips and buying into rallies.
3. Anticipate changes in trading ranges: When the GEX+ reading is positive, you can expect a smaller, tighter trading range in the market, whereas a zero or negative GEX+ reading indicates a larger, more volatile trading range. This information can help you adjust your trading strategy accordingly.
4. Watch for potential market reversals: GEX+ can be useful for identifying potential market reversals, especially when it aligns with options expiration cycles. A sudden drop in GEX+ may indicate a change in market direction or an increase in volatility.
5. Identify key strike zones and support/resistance levels: Analyze GEX+ data to identify key strike zones or inflection points in the market where support and resistance levels might come into play. This can help you make more informed decisions about when to enter or exit a trade.

Remember that GEX+ is not a directional call, but it can provide valuable insights into market behavior and potential shifts in volatility. Incorporating GEX+ into your trading strategy can help you make more informed decisions and improve your overall trading performance.

GEX+ > 0 : Positive delta > Dealer Sells\
GEX+ < 0 : Negative delta > Dealer Buys

<figure><img src="/files/MW9KZn5h78xFZ3QB94YG" alt=""><figcaption><p>GEX+ Cheatsheet</p></figcaption></figure>

### Ok thanks... explain it like I'm 5

GEX+ is a tool that helps people who trade in the stock market predict what might happen in the future. It measures how people who make a lot of trades (called "market makers") are affecting the market. If the GEX+ number is high, it means that the market makers are keeping things calm and the prices are not changing much. But if the GEX+ number is low, it means the market makers are making things more chaotic and the prices might change a lot.

To use GEX+ effectively, traders need to understand a few things about options trading and pay attention to the GEX+ readings. They can then anticipate changes in the market and adjust their trading strategy accordingly. It's not a guarantee of what will happen, but it can help traders make better decisions.

### Not \*\*that\*\* simplified

GEX+ is a tool that helps traders anticipate potential changes in the crypto markets. It measures the impact of **options dealers** hedging activity on the derivative market, which can provide valuable insights into market behavior and potential shifts in volatility. Essentially, GEX+ shows how much the market makers are buying or selling at certain times, and this information can be used to predict changes in the market.

When the GEX+ number is high, it means that market makers are keeping prices relatively stable by buying when the market goes down and selling when it goes up. This can be a good time to trade because there is less volatility and prices are not likely to change as much. But when the GEX+ number is low, it means that market makers are making things more chaotic by buying when the market goes up and selling when it goes down. This can be a riskier time to trade because prices are more likely to change quickly.

To use GEX+ effectively, traders need to understand the concept of gamma exposure, which is related to options trading and the rate of change of delta. They should also monitor GEX+ readings and anticipate changes in trading ranges, as well as watch for potential market reversals. By analyzing GEX+ data, traders can identify key strike zones or inflection points in the market where support and resistance levels might come into play. This can help traders make more informed decisions about when to enter or exit a trade.

Overall, GEX+ is not a guarantee of what will happen in the market, but it can provide valuable insights into market behavior and potential shifts in volatility. By incorporating GEX+ into their trading strategy, traders can make more informed decisions and improve their overall trading performance.

<figure><img src="/files/LWA96oaGYHjbpb0esi9U" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Upon reception of the form, the Kingfisher team will get in touch with you.&#x20;

Once your access becomes active, refer to the following section to effectively make use of the KF API.

## API Usage

See below a crude API connector.

Note: Make sure to create a .env with

```
HOST='https://thekingfisher.io'
LOGIN="your_kf_login"
KEY="your_kf_password"
```

```python
import requests
import os
import json
from dotenv import load_dotenv, find_dotenv
load_dotenv(find_dotenv())
# in .env
# HOST='https://thekingfisher.io'
# LOGIN="your_kf_login"
# KEY="your_kf_password"
class KingfisherController(object):
    def __init__(self):
        self.users = []
        self.token = ""
        self.headers = {}
        self.keys = []
        self.login()
    def login(self):
       login_response = requests.post(HOST + "/api/auth/login", data={"login": LOGIN, "password": KEY})
       if(login_response.status_code):
        self.token = (login_response.json()['token'])
        self.headers = {'Authorization': 'Bearer ' + self.token}
    def get_last_map(self, exchange, pair, type):
        data = {'exchange': exchange, 'pair': pair, 'type': type}
        return requests.post(HOST + '/api/private/map/latest',json=data, headers=self.headers).json()
    # Being reworked, coming back soon
    def get_ts_map(self, exchange, pair, ts, type):
        data = {'exchange': exchange, 'pair': pair, 'ts' : ts,'type': type}
        return requests.post(HOST + '/api/private/map/timestamp',json=data, headers=self.headers).json()
def plot_data (data):
    prices = []
    rel_str = []
    for cluster in data:
        if cluster not in ['Cummulated short liqs','Cummulated long liqs']:
            prices += data[cluster][0]
            rel_str += data[cluster][1]
    import plotly.express as px
    plot = px.histogram(x=prices, labels={'x': 'Price'}, y=rel_str, nbins = len(prices))
    plot.show()
if __name__ == '__main__':
    kf_control = KingfisherController()
    resp = kf_control.get_ts_map('binance', 'BTC/USDT', time.time(), 'all_leverage')
    data = resp['result']['data']
    plot_data(data)
    # plot histogram with plotly of data
    resp = kf_control.get_last_map('binance', 'BTC/USDT', 'high_leverage')
```

To improve data readability, we recommend flattening the liqmap. The response contains multiple clusters, including noise, which helps with color representation in UX design. However, for GMM, KDE, or statistical analysis, this can be inconvenient and make data manipulation more difficult.

```python
 import pandas as pd
 def process_data(self, data):
            flattened_data = []
            for key in data:
                prices, density = data[key]
                flattened_data.extend([{'price': p, 'density': d} for p, d in zip(prices, density) if d != 0])
            return pd.DataFrame(flattened_data)
```

# Setup

Before connecting any instance, take the habit of double checking at least those parameters

Once you subscribe to a Silver or Gold membership, you can use the KF-OEMS

### How to create an instance

<figure><img src="/files/tE7SA4DxPmJyjKa4Df32" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### How to setup your instance

**Save / Save & Run**: When making changes, make sure to save or discard them! Using "save & run" will save and automatically activate the instance

**Trading balance**: This will adjust the base sizes of the orders that will be placed. This is limited by the "trading balance" amount you've subscribed for.

**Pair**: Select the pair on which you'd like to connect the instance (Future markets only)

**LiqMap leverage**: Select the config you'd like to trade with your instance. The higher the leverages tracked by the map, the shorter the trading timeframe. Our engine will place orders with tighter spreads. **We recommend you check each liq map to visualize which liquidations clusters will be targeted, and try out different configurations while monitoring which orders are set on your exchange account.** Select the one that suits your trading style best!

**Minimum/Maximum size**: Limit the position sizes

**Accumulating until**: Until which price the instance will accumulate/increase the position size

**Exit/Entry Clusters:** This will alter the density of the order grid. The higher the number of clusters, the more liquidation levels will be targeted.

# dYdX Setup

## dYdX API Setup for the Kingfisher OEMS&#x20;

Connecting the Kingfisher OEMS to dYdX is a unique process compared to other exchanges due to its decentralized nature. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up your dYdX API for use with the Kingfisher OEMS.

### Understanding the dYdX Connection

Unlike centralized exchanges, dYdX generates API credentials automatically when you connect your MetaMask wallet. These credentials are stored in your browser. It's important to use a MetaMask wallet that is not connected to a hardware wallet, as the private key of a hardware wallet cannot be used for signing messages due to security protocols.

info

**Wallet Choice**: You don't need to use the same wallet as your Gunthy Wallet Address for dYdX. You can create a new Metamask wallet separate from your the Kingfisher OEMS License Wallet.

info

**Info about market orders**: dYdX enforces 'fill or kill' on market orders, meaning the order gets cancelled when it cannot fill immediately. This is fine in most trading strategies as they would just replace the order at next opportunity. When you're using an alert based sell trigger, please be aware that market orders might get cancelled.

### Step-by-Step dYdX API Setup

#### Step 1: Connect Wallet

#### Step 13: Add dYdX to the Kingfisher OEMS

<figure><img src="/files/oOQ5DyOerMJ4tWVrDV1m" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Ensuring Security

After configuring the Kingfisher OEMS, ensure to delete the plain text credentials collected during the setup. the Kingfisher encrypts and stores these credentials for security.

Follow these steps carefully to ensure a secure and successful setup of dYdX with the Kingfisher OEMS.

# Controls

The KF-OEMS gives you full control over the instances you connected. You can accurately devise strategies with calculated risks and rewards, while always taking advantage of the Kingfisher's liquidations maps systematically.

Set up your instance, and walk away knowing you'll capture all the liquidations there are to clear. In the most controlled way, any product offers for crypto-trading.

# Directionality

The KF-OEMS offers different options to fit your bias

<figure><img src="/files/gF2INfj8CkfSdUbxRKGF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### SHORT

The engine will only open and accumulate positions to the **downside**.&#x20;

I use the SHORT mode when I know the **price will be going down**, and I want to open a position on the short liquidations and take profit on the long liquidations

### LONG/SHORT

The engine will open and accumulate positions **both to the upside and to the downside**.&#x20;

I use the LONG/SHORT mode when I know the **price will be ranging**, and I want to **open a position on the short liquidations and take profit on the long liquidations, then reopen a position on the long liquidations, and take profit on short liquidations (like ping pong)**

### LONG

The engine will only open and accumulate positions to the **upside**.&#x20;

I use the LONG mode when I know the **price will be going** **up**, and I want to open a position on the long liquidations and take profit on the short liquidations

# Sizing

### Trading Balance

The Trading Balance gives you control over how much of your margin will be considered by the KF-OEMS (in USD).

<figure><img src="/files/fFApbVbN1qOHmIQ7PR28" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To lower your risk, the aggressivity of the engine, and the accumulation speed: Set a New Considered Balance lower than your actual balance (displayed on the left).\
To increase your risk, the aggressivity of the engine, and the accumulation speed: Set a New Considered Balance higher than your actual balance.

Note: New Considered Balance might be capped depending on your subscription level, and the allowance you paid for.

<figure><img src="/files/TfdXGZIBZVtpjeBPOHfq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Set Max Exposure

Max exposure will tell the KF-OEMS how much to accumulate and carry at most\
The engine will stop increasing the position past that size

default: **Considered Balance**

### Set Min Exposure

Min exposure will tell the KF-OEMS how much to accumulate and carry at least\
The engine will make sure to carry the min exposure set and will stop taking profit accordingly

default: **0**

# Risk Management

The KF-OEMS offer settings allowing you very controlled, effective and safe trading

<figure><img src="/files/JZaiCgHZRny5yWujhrAo" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### TP (Take Profit):

Set and cancel a Take Profit.\
If "Auto" is set, The profits will be taken on dense liquidations areas. Else, it will set a hard stop, as the exchanges would.

### SL (Stop Loss):

Set and cancel a Stop Loss.

### Entry:

Depending on the bias set, The KF-OEMS will only **start accumulating past the Entry price**

If Long and Entry\@20 000$→ The OEMS will only hunt liquidations below 20 000$ to accumulate a long.\
If Short and Entry\@80 000$→ The OEMS will only hunt liquidations above 80 000$ to accumulate a short.

<figure><img src="/files/OdKNLvareSFea0gREqAv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Accumulate Until:&#x20;

The KF-OEMS won't increase or open a position past that price (Bias dependent)

default: **-1 (Automated)**\
When **Automated** and **Short** → **Accumulate Until = Current\_price \* 2**\
When **Automated** and **Long** → **Accumulate Until = Current\_price \* 0.7**&#x20;

### Exit/Entry Spread Cluster:&#x20;

This will alter the density of the order grid. The higher the number of clusters, the more liquidation levels will be targeted.

Liquidations are targeted from the densest liquidation cluster, to the least dense.\
If **Entry Clusters** is set to 10, the engine will select the 10 highest liquidations nodes within the studied price range, and target them.\
(Same with Exit Spread Clusters for exits, but the total position size will be split across the exit levels)

**Higher Entry Spread Cluster** → **More orders** → **More aggressive entry**\
**Lower Entry Spread Cluster** → **Fewer orders** → **Less aggressive entry**

**Higher Exit Spread Cluster** → **More orders** → **Less aggressive exit**\
**Lower Exit Spread Cluster** → **Fewer orders** → **More aggressive exit**

# Liquidation DCA order Type

Order Types

## Feature: Slippage-Mitigating DCA Algorithm

### Overview

Our newly proposed algorithm utilizes the Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy in a unique and innovative way. The algorithm aims to predict and capitalize on market disruptions caused by the liquidation of other traders, specifically the artificial slippage related to fine order book adjustments. This approach allows for the building of positions while optimizing for minimal slippage and price impact.

### Functionality and Benefits

#### Prediction of Liquidations

The algorithm is designed to anticipate liquidation events of other traders in the market. By leveraging real-time market data and advanced predictive analytics, it can identify potential disruptions caused by mass liquidations.

#### DCA Strategy during Market Disruptions

As market disruptions occur, the algorithm strategically executes DCA orders. Rather than spacing out orders at regular intervals, it places orders in response to these idiosyncratic events, thereby taking advantage of the high liquidity conditions they create.

The main goal of the algorithm is to build positions while minimizing slippage and price impact. By executing DCA orders during high liquidity points in the market, it ensures that orders are filled efficiently and at the best possible prices.

### Conclusion

This innovative algorithm provides users with a unique tool for navigating volatile markets. By combining the predictability of liquidation events with the time-tested DCA strategy, it offers the potential for enhanced position building and optimized price execution, even during periods of significant market disruption.

# tl;dr KF-OEMS F.A.Q.

## How to set up my bias?

![Bias switch](/files/-MbapbbWIDpF4M2VnXVH)

If you want to turn a specific bias to your order flow you can select which side you want the engine to trade for you, this can be combined with every other feature.

**Example:**

If you set **Long Bias** it won't be able to send short-selling orders to open a new position, all the asks will be considered reduce-only to close a currently open long position.

The engine will take into account the bias and fill on every liquidation cluster to optimize your execution and reduce your order flow fingerprint. Bids are sent until "max exposure" is reached, or "fill until", if you have any open position it will try to slowly reduce your exposure to "minimum exposure" desired.

## How to control capital consumption?

If you want to weigh one instrument exposure lower, you can use the "Considered Balance" field.

From the current equity on the exchange, you can set how much of your portfolio will be allocated to the instrument.

Note that's the size can increase relative to your current exposure and this is the **MINIMUM** siz&#x65;**.**

## How to set **take profit**?

*Liquidations Based Take profit*

Based on the liquidations clustering provided by our services we will try to slowly reduce your current exposure.&#x20;

Best execution will use liquidations clusters to provide higher liquidity and reduced fingerprint.&#x20;

If you want to define a take profit there are three ways.

* **NO TP & AUTO**

The default mode, will reduce overtime in the liquidations cluster

* **Defined TP & AUTO**

If you want to reduce your current position **ONLY** **AFTER** a determined price

* **Defined TP & Manual**

If you want to reduce your position quickly at a specified price to reach "minimum exposure"

![](/files/-MbaqMIS6q3IXSQF4erc)

## How to control minimum exposure?

If you want to keep minimum exposure to hold an open position, you can use this field.

This feature can be combined with everything else.

Minimum exposure is denominated in USD.

![Min exposure](/files/-MbaqbgefLHZ0njJnZxl)

\
How to control maximum exposure? <a href="#how-to-control-minimum-exposure" id="how-to-control-minimum-exposure"></a>
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to stop sending orders after reaching a maximum exposure for an instrument, you can set this field.

This only affects the current instrument.&#x20;

If you have a 10 000$ position, **MAX EXPOSURE** set to 10 100 $ a resting order of 1000 $ can be filled. **AFTER** passing the threshold limit take effect and stop sending orders that would increase your exposure.&#x20;

For more accurate control of sizing use "Fill Until"

This feature can be combined with everything else

![Max exposure](/files/-Mbaq_Rar4VKsemK6Rjr)

Maximum exposure is denominated in USD.&#x20;

\
What is Fill Until? <a href="#how-to-control-minimum-exposure" id="how-to-control-minimum-exposure"></a>
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

‌If you want to fill a position until a certain threshold, you can set this field.

Compared to the **maximum exposure** the size of the remaining orders will be reduced accordingly to your current position to reach the desired size.

This only affects the current instrument.&#x20;

If you have a 10 000$ position, **FILL UNTIL** set to 10 100 $ then the remaining orders will equal 100 $ maximum, limit take effect **IMMEDIATELY**.

This feature can be combined with everything else

Maximum exposure is denominated in USD.&#x20;

\
What is Spread Cluster? <a href="#how-to-control-minimum-exposure" id="how-to-control-minimum-exposure"></a>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These fields will help you adjust the agressivity of the OEMS and it's orders.

The higher the value, the more liquidations clusters will be considered by the OEMS. Increasing these values will increase the order density accross a same price range.

## How do I switch on/off the OEMS for my instrument? <a href="#how-to-control-minimum-exposure" id="how-to-control-minimum-exposure"></a>

‌If you want to turn **ON** the engine for one instrument you need to turn **ON** **BOTH** **STATUS & ALLOW EXPOSURE**

If you want to keep the take profit engine but want to avoid more exposure you can turn off the **ALLOW EXPOSURE.**

# V-Chart

V-Chart: Revolutionizing Chart Analysis for Traders

### Introduction

Welcome to VChart, a groundbreaking charting tool that challenges the traditional candlestick chart and introduces a new perspective for traders. Developed with the goal of providing valuable information to enhance trading decisions, VChart leverages volume data to present a unique charting experience.

### The Limitations of Candlestick Charts

Candlestick charts, the most widely used chart type, have been in existence since the 1800s. However, many traders find themselves losing money despite relying on these charts. Is it just a coincidence? Not at all. The issue lies in their inability to offer traders the insights they need to make informed trades.

Consider the following statements:

1. After 1 hour, the price moves up by 5%.
2. After 100 BTC is traded, the price moves up by 5%.

Time alone does not cause price movements; it is people making trades that drive prices. Therefore, the second statement provides more valuable information. This realization has paved the way for a new charting tool: the Volume chart.

### Introducing the Volume Chart

<figure><img src="/files/Tjp8gO8oqlefOqKCJovQ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Volume chart, unlike the traditional candlestick chart, revolves around traded volume. Instead of completing a bar after a specific duration, a bar is completed after a certain volume, as indicated by "V = 77" (where 77 BTC is traded). This unique approach is designed with scalp/breakout/liquidation hunting strategies in mind.

### How to Read the Volume Chart

<figure><img src="/files/322X6l7mxknWgP1gA5Aw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/fYmjYjEkEOMEMLCUB0It" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To facilitate your understanding, here are some annotations:

* "V = 77" indicates that a bar is completed after 77 BTC is traded.
* The color of the wick reflects the dominance of either buy or sell trades within a bar. A <mark style="color:red;">red</mark> wick suggests more sell trades, while a <mark style="color:green;">green</mark> wick indicates more buy trades.
* The width of a bar represents its momentum. A thin bar suggests a quick price movement, while a thick bar signifies a slower pace. Bar width is calculated using z-scores of bar duration.
* The body of the bar displays the traded volume by sellers (<mark style="color:red;">red</mark>) and buyers (<mark style="color:green;">green</mark>), making it easy to spot imbalances and the exchange of positions between sellers and buyers.
* The bar body also includes two lines representing the VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) sell level in <mark style="color:red;">red</mark> and VWAP buy level in <mark style="color:green;">green</mark>.
* Liquidation indicators are positioned at the top and bottom of each bar. <mark style="color:red;">Red</mark> boxes indicate sell-side liquidations (long liquidations), while <mark style="color:green;">green</mark> boxes represent buy-side liquidations (short liquidations).

### Historical Liquidation Levels

Data from Coinglass (formerly known as Bybt) provides historical liquidation levels, offering valuable insights for traders.

BetaPlay: Automated Crypto Market Screening and Trading Tools

### Introduction

Are you looking for a reliable way to screen and find crypto markets to trade? Look no further, because BetaPlay is here to help.

#### TLDR

In summary, BetaPlay is a set of automated tools designed to assist traders in making better trading decisions. Developed by a trader who experienced both gains and losses, BetaPlay aims to automate the screening process and eliminate tedious and error-prone tasks. With BetaPlay, you can save time and make more informed trading decisions.

### The Story Behind BetaPlay

Once upon a time, there was a trader who started each day by opening FTX and Binance with a cup of coffee in hand. The trader would manually sort the markets based on traded volume, identifying the strongest and weakest performers. Then, using TradingView, the trader plotted these markets, comparing them one by one. It was like watching a boxing match between the strongest and weakest markets, with the outcome already known.

The trader would buy the strongest markets and sell the weakest ones, following the path of least resistance and making money in the process. However, everything changed when the infamous July wick appeared out of nowhere and hit the trader hard, along with many others.

As a developer, the trader decided to research and develop tools to automate the screening process and eliminate the boring and error-prone parts. Spending nearly 1 hour and 40 minutes each day on screening, the trader created BetaPlay as a solution.

With BetaPlay, you no longer need TradingView, CryptoMarketCap, or other tedious tools. Let BetaPlay revolutionize your trading experience.

# KF Index

KF-Index: Create and trade your own\
instruments <a href="#id-3f75" id="id-3f75"></a>
------------------------------------------------

Cryptocurrencies are a new and growing asset class that is quickly gaining in popularity. But everyone is trading the same instruments on the same exchanges. What if you could create and trade your own instruments? The Kingfisher Platform allows you to do just that! It’s simple to do and easy to explain. In this article, I’ll show you how to easily create and trade composite indexes on the Kingfisher in a few clicks.

### What is a composite index? <a href="#id-2999" id="id-2999"></a>

A composite index is an index that is made up of multiple individual indices that are weighted by certain criteria in order to measure the overall performance of a group of assets or cryptocurrencies. These weights determine how much of the value attributed to each asset contributes to the overall value of the composite index.

### Why trade a composite index? <a href="#id-7ed4" id="id-7ed4"></a>

By combining Longs and Shorts of different cryptocurrencies, we can create complex instruments and strategies which are impossible to replicate using only longs or shorts of a single cryptocurrency. This gives us access to more complex and volatile markets, that can match your volatility and behavior expectations. For example, it is entirely possible to create a statistically mean-reverting index.![](/files/QvFyHCCio1SqsCmpkDRb)

## How to create and trade composite indexes on thekingfisher.io? <a href="#id-5361" id="id-5361"></a>

<div align="center"><figure><img src="/files/inIHooBDYO3yUl9w0lDd" alt=""><figcaption><p>Long - Short - DIsplay</p></figcaption></figure></div>

### Creating an index: <a href="#c09b" id="c09b"></a>

1- Open the KF Index manager, by default we load up an auto-generated Long Short pair.&#x20;

![](/files/JuT90I20kxRM86ycGfsF)

<figure><img src="/files/MFD9qzJFswKL6yqLDCCN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2- Select Basket, and create a new index. A menu to select the products you want to incorporate into your index will pop up .

<figure><img src="/files/EEgRisN4ybKLqkHIzUbK" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3- Select the crypto assets you want to include in the index from the drop-down menus

\
4- Assign to the selected assets, the weighting you want to use for each asset (negative numbers will indicate a short).

<figure><img src="/files/HHbSrO4fMqsQ9qD5o8ds" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5- Click save, then click the newly created index

<figure><img src="/files/inIHooBDYO3yUl9w0lDd" alt=""><figcaption><p>Long - Short - DIsplay</p></figcaption></figure>

### Executing an index trade <a href="#id-4c7f" id="id-4c7f"></a>

6- Connect your existing API keys, or add an “API Instance”

<figure><img src="/files/nOlgxmEwm3qFJ3v3XEeB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

7- You can now enter a size to execute, and Short or Long it! the size will be divided between the different selected instruments, depending on the given weights.

<figure><img src="/files/Qxo24q8jJjQFKfRquqgd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

8-Select if you want to Long/Short then place orders, this will send market orders to the exchange&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/g4EkazvPxVVE0gPZy9ix" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

9- You can easily track your open positions under the chart (red box), and close them by ticking the box on the right and then confirming by clicking the “green tick” at the top (green box)

<figure><img src="/files/1DTajnSXB3Y9RsPwqJ6n" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

9- you can force a refresh of the positions by hitting the refresh button (yellow box)

### A few things to keep in mind <a href="#c140" id="c140"></a>

\- There might be slight size discrepancies as the exchanges’ minimum sizes are different for each instrument.\
\- All orders are market orders — mind the exchange fees!\
\- When executing, be aware of your existing positions on the exchange — KF will execute “over them”.

\- Change the leverage to track your favorite leverages!\
\- Click one of the arrows to send the given liquidation price to the "Entry price" directly

This tool looks very simple but is incredibly powerful. \
Try the following: Enter the price of an asset (or click on the chart), and tweak the calculator's leverages. You'll see directly how fast given leverages are getting REKT, longs and shorts

Happy liq hunting! 🎣

# Long vs Short

The longs vs shorts ratio refers to the comparison between the exchange's active buying volume and active selling volume, which can reflect the market order flow imbalance.

<figure><img src="/files/XsDAKOKWCw8h40vqOWx3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The Buy/Sell Taker Ratio is a sentiment analysis tool that determines market sentiment by examining the balance of buying and selling pressures. It helps identify the intensity of rising or falling trends by comparing the volume of market orders that result in asset acquisition to those that result in asset disposal over a specified period. For a more complete market analysis, traders should use this ratio alongside other indicators which will aid in making sound trading decisions.<br>

### Main Takeaways <a href="#idrichtexttextconfigcontentmain-takeawaysstyle" id="idrichtexttextconfigcontentmain-takeawaysstyle"></a>

* The Long/Short Ratio is a sentiment analysis indicator that relates to market participants' opinions and actions.
* It is calculated by dividing the number of long positions by the number of short positions.
* A high ratio suggests bullish market sentiment, while a low ratio suggests bearish market sentiment.

As per Binance ([`source`](https://www.binance.com/en/futures/funding-history/perpetual/trading-data)), Traders can analyze the Long/Short Ratio to understand how traders are positioning themselves for future price action. The Long/Short ratios are tracking the proportion of open longs vs open shorts on Binance futures

# Candle exhaustion indicator & CVD

The Kingfisher candle exhaustion indicator (major/minor long/short) signals tell a lot about the state of the current trend, and especially when it loses momentum and ends.

That and the CVD (Cumulative Volume Delta) can help one precisely understand how the buying/selling volume is being absorbed (or not) by the traders on the other side of the book.\
This in turn can help identify the strength of different price action scenarios, as they’re playing out.

Note: Play on the <1 min timeframe for great scalping opportunities<br>

## Frequently Asked Questions

<https://docs.insilicoterminal.com/documentation/welcome/frequently-asked-questions>

**Is Insilico Terminal secure?**

Security is of utmost importance to us. Your API keys are only stored in your own browser (and not on our server) and they are double encrypted using a key unique to you. This is why you have to reenter them every time you change your browser or device. We don’t store anything about you on our servers other than the email+password you login with (which is held with Auth0). We feel this system is reasonably impractical to be penetrated or hacked. A leak of your API keys like it happened for 3commas is not possible. For further details on security please see this information on [Security](https://docs.insilicoterminal.com/documentation/welcome/security).

# FAQ

## What are Liquidation Maps?

Liquidation maps Show where the market's liquidations will happen. The price action will tend to liquidate most high leveraged traders. The Kingfisher's maps help you visualize where those players will liquidate and drag the price along with them.

## What do the different colors mean on the maps?

The colors don't add information to the liquidations maps, they help our users make out the different liquidations clusters.&#x20;

They're here for readability purposes.

## The wheel is black, I can't spin it!

try logging out and back in, or clearing your browser's cache and it should work.

### I bought a subscription/credits but they don't appear, what should I do?

Once you paid an invoice, your Kingfisher account gets credited BTC. Once you're credited, try buying what you intended to buy. It should now go through.

# Subscriptions Upgrade

Thinking about taking your trading to the next level? Upgrading your Kingfisher subscription is designed to give you the maximum value possible.

Here is exactly how billing works when you decide to upgrade from a Premium plan to a Pro plan.

## How Your Upgrade is Calculated

Instead of complicated cost deductions or prorated refunds, we use a **Time Stacking** system that automatically upgrades your remaining time for free.

When you purchase an upgrade (for example, buying a Pro plan while still on Premium), you will be charged the standard price for the new plan you select. However, **you do not lose your existing plan.**

Instead, **all the remaining time on your current Premium plan is instantly upgraded to Pro**, and the new time you just purchased is added right on top.

### Example Scenario

Imagine you currently have **3 months of Premium left**, and you decide to buy **1 month of Pro**.

1. You pay the standard price for 1 month of Pro at checkout.
2. We take your remaining 3 months, add your newly purchased 1 month, and set your new expiry date to **4 months from now**.
3. Your entire account is instantly upgraded to **Pro**.

**The Result:** You receive 4 full months of Pro access. Your remaining 3 months of Premium were converted to the more expensive Pro tier at absolutely no extra cost to you!

## Frequently Asked Questions

<details>

<summary>Why was I charged the full amount at checkout?</summary>

When you upgrade, the checkout will always charge you the full amount for the specific block of time you are purchasing (e.g., 1 month or 3 months of Pro). Rather than discounting the price at checkout, we give you the discount in the form of free upgraded time applied to your remaining balance.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I upgrade if I have a lot of time left on my current plan?</summary>

Yes! Upgrading early is actually highly beneficial. The more time you have left on your Premium plan, the more time gets converted to Pro for free when you make your upgrade purchase.

COOKIE POLICY

Last updated August 28, 2023

This Cookie Policy explains how TheKingFisher.io ("Company", "we", "us", and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our websites at <https://thekingfisher.io>, ("Websites"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

In some cases we may use cookies to collect personal information, or that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, TheKingFisher.io) are called "first party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third party cookies". Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.

Why do we use cookies?

We use first and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us

to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Online Properties. Third parties serve cookies through our Websites for advertising, analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

The specific types of first and third party cookies served through our Websites and the purposes they perform are described below (please note that the specific cookies served may vary depending on the specific Online Properties you visit):

How can I control cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.

The Cookie Consent Manager can be found in the notification banner and on our website. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our website though your access to some functionality and areas of our website may be restricted. You may also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser-to-browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information.

In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. If you would like to find out more information, please\
visit <http://www.aboutads.info/choices/> or <http://www.youronlinechoices.com>.

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Websites or opened an e-mail including them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
